Why I Am Not a Blackpink Fan and My Views on Their Performance and Fans

Why I Am Not a Blackpink Fan and My Views on Their Performance and Fans

I have always been a curious observer of the K-pop phenomenon, appreciating the hard work and talent behind each and every group. However, my feelings towards Blackpink, or BP as many fans call them, have been complex and mixed. While I do not actively hate the group, I feel they are not as talented or well-produced as they are often perceived to be by their dedicated fanbase, known as Blinks. Here, I'll share my thoughts and observations about why I lack enthusiasm for them.

Repititive Music and Lack of Originality

One of the primary reasons I do not enjoy Blackpink's music is its repetitiveness. Over the years, their songs have felt formulaic, with minimal variation and a consistent structure. This, combined with the fact that they do not produce their own music, has led to a lack of growth and originality that I find lacking in other groups. Fans often compare them to BTS, who are indeed self-made, and while BTS' talent and hard work are undeniable, I feel that Blackpink has not earned the same level of respect despite their popularity.

Here is a video that might support my viewpoint: Proof of Repetitive Verses and Lack of Originality.

Questionable Dance and Deceptive Performances

Another major issue I have with Blackpink is the quality of their dance and the authenticity of their performances. While Lisa does stand out as a strong dancer, the group often fails to convey energy and passion on stage. Their choreography sometimes lacks organization, and their live performances do not live up to the hype. It's important for performers to give their all in at least one area of their craft, and in this instance, it seems that they fall short in live performances.

I have also noticed that the group's views on social media sometimes appear inorganic, indicating a lack of genuine engagement with their audience. This point is further emphasized in the following video: Proof of Inorganic Engagement.

The Fanbase and Their Behavior

The fan base of Blackpink, known as Blinks, is another aspect that contributes to my negativity towards the group. While some fans are supportive and passionate, there are significant issues with certain behaviors and attitudes that I find unappealing. For instance, a substantial portion of Blinks seem to be 14 or younger, with some being solo stans who are openly hostile towards rappers like BTS. These fans often engage in disrespectful and toxic behavior towards other artists, which has deeply saddened me. It's disheartening to see such a large number of toxic individuals within a fanbase, which is in my opinion, reflective poorly on the group itself.

Conclusion

While I do not hate Blackpink, I believe that they have not earned their current level of fame and success. Issues with their music, live performances, and fanbase contribute to my lack of enthusiasm. They are talented and should consider diversifying their career paths, potentially moving into modeling or acting, which may suit their talents better than music.

However, it's important to note that Blackpink will continue to make and sell millions, regardless of my personal opinions. They have a robust fanbase, and as such, they are a significant player in the K-pop industry.
