Enjoying Life on My Own or With Others: Engaging in Fun Activities and Personal Interests
Life is full of activities that bring us joy and help us relax, no matter if we enjoy solo adventures or engaging with others. For instance, my RC truck can go as fast as 108 mph, and while it may not be an ordinary boy toy, I find it fun to race. However, I am definitely not a loner. I thrive on social interactions and enjoy people's company. Whether it's organizing and helping others declutter or enjoying group fitness classes, I find a perfect balance between solo and social activities.
Organizing for Fun: Helping Others Declutter
One of the things I love is organizing. It's even more fulfilling when I have the opportunity to help someone else declutter and organize their space. Recently, I and my sister ambushed our other sister to help her declutter a bathroom. We had such a great time that we've decided to spend an entire week at her house doing an in-depth purge. We plan to bring our trucks, trailers, and cars to make the experience more enjoyable. It's not just about the physical labor; it's also about the connection we build with each other.
Group Fitness: A Social Activity
Another one of my favorite activities is going to the gym, and I find it much more enjoyable when it's not just me. I love taking part in classes like spinning, HIIT, and yoga. While I see a variety of strangers in these classes, it's the camaraderie and support that make the difference. Group fitness not only helps me stay in shape but also provides a great opportunity to meet new people. However, I do sometimes go alone when I don't have a friend to attend these classes with me. At the end of the day, the social aspect is what makes these activities so much fun.
Social Gatherings and Fun Outings
Outside of fitness, my weekends are a mix of personal and social activities. My girlfriend and I love getting out of the house and have some fun every Friday or Saturday night. We enjoy going into town for supper and having a few drinks together. We always include each other in these plans, which strengthens our bond. It's a great way to unwind and relax after a week of work. A memorable experience we had a couple of years ago was when my daughter and her husband joined us to feed and check the cattle for two days. Meanwhile, my girlfriend and I went on a mini-adventure to Denver to see the Smashing Pumpkins show. It was a perfect combination of work and play, and we had a fantastic time in Denver.
In conclusion, whether it's racing with my RC truck, organizing with friends, or hitting the gym in a group, I find joy in both solo and social activities. What about you? Do you prefer doing things alone or with others?
